Every second year we visit my best mate and his family near Ringkøbing at the windy west coast of Denmark.
This year we were really lucky with the weather! And that’s also the reason why there are so many pictures I would like to share with you! Enjoy …
Down by the beach
Coming from busy and crowded Switzerland, the beaches of Søndervig are always a great way to slow down and go for long walks along the beautiful shoreline.
Dunes and beyond
Exploring the dunes along the coast is as relaxing as the walk along the north-sea itself. Behind the one or the other dune you’ll find sometimes lovely holiday houses that are worth a picture as well.
When visiting the west coast, we always stop by the «Lyngvig» lighthouse between Søndervig and Hvide Sande. It is Denmarks highest situated lighthouse in the middle of the dunes.
Windmills and port in Hvide Sande
On the other sunny day we visited the port in Hvide Sande. The concrete pathway of the new port is a nice sight-seeing opportunity and always good for a short walk.
Sønderborg – a beauty down south
On our way home we stopped the first time in Sønderborg, a small city situated near the border to Germany on the east coast of Denmark. With a personal guide we were able to explore the hidden gems of Sønderborg. Hey beautiful town, we will be back!
All pictures were taken and edited with an iPhone 6. You are free to use the pictures of my blog post, but please do me a favor: when using one the pics, please mention at least my name and the source. Thank you!
